Fair Oaks Short Story Contest
We’ve received some fantastic short story submissions and after much deliberation, we’re excited to present our 1st place winner, whose story truly stands out with its captivating tale! In addition, we’re celebrating two runners up and two honorable mentions for their unique Fair Oaks stories.

A Village Update with Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District Administrator Mike Aho
In November 2018, Fair Oaks voters passed Measure J, a $26.9 million general obligation bond to improve Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District’s services. This included improvements to almost every park in the district (work that has already been completed) and redevelopment of space in the center of the Fair Oaks Village that encompasses four sites: the Fair Oaks Community Clubhouse, the Veterans Memorial Amphitheatre, Village Park and Plaza Park.
